[update] Fauver caught 5 months after failure to appear in Federal court
SIERRA VISTA - Lori Ann Fauver was taken into custody January 11 by the Cochise County Sheriff's Office, five months after a U.S. District Court judge issued a warrant for the Hereford woman's arrest when she failed to appear for sentencing August 10 on federal drug charges.
The circumstances of Fauver's apprehension has not been released by the sheriff's office, nor is it known if she faces new criminal charges. For now she remains at the county jail in Bisbee until at least January 23 when she must appear at a hearing to set a trial date for two drug cases pending against her in Cochise County Superior Court.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, a new court date has not been set in Fauver's federal case, but if she is released from the county jail the U.S. Marshals Service will transfer her to federal custody.
